Blue Tornadoes Plow Through ACS 42-16
A 4A district showdown took place in Scottsville, KY on a rainy Thursday night between Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornadoes and Allen County-Scottsville Patriots. Thursday night’s matchup was moved up a day due to the incoming weather from Hurricane Helene. Coming into the game, Tilghman and ACS were unbeaten but fortunately for the Blue Tornadoes they continued that streak as they went on to win 42-16. Paducah Tilghman senior quarterback Jack James threw for 279 yds and 5 TDs. Three of those scores were caught by freshman Avery Thompson and one of the passing touchdowns resulted in James breaking the all-time state touchdown pass record at 147. The Troy University commit also had touchdown passes to junior receiver Je’Marion Purdiman and future Kentucky Wildcat Martels Carter. Tilghman will look to keep their streak going as they will travel to Logan County high school next week.
